Its Sunday Morning and we are all prep up for our today’s adventure. Our first stop is Batu Cave, I already wrote a blog about this place from our 2013-2016 visits but I saw in Facebook that they repainted the stairs and did some renovation in the area to make it more touristy, that’s why we decided to visit this again.
From our hotel we took a grab to KLCC, the fare is only 12 RM for 6 seater car.
When we arrived at KLCC we need to walk inside the mall to find the MRT station, on our way there we saw the Bakery that sells Roti Boy – Ylay’s favorite bread so we stop and bought couple of breads.
From KLCC we took the train to KL Sentral, the train fare is 2.40 RM each. It is the 5th stop from KLCC.
At KL Sentral we need to ride another train which is the KTM Komuter that will take us to Batu Caves. We bought the ticket and went down directly to the platform. Too bad that we forgot to check the train schedule, the next train is arriving at 12:50 pm and we are there 12:10pm which is too early. Left without any choice we just waited for the train.
When we embark the train, I remember our previous travels to Batu Caves, there are very few people in the train during those times and now the train is almost full, the cabin for women and children only also has men inside which disappoints me. Tourists are everywhere, I thought that they might alight in other stations but I am wrong most of them are also visiting Batu Caves. To my surprise, there is a long line of people at the exit of the station, it took us about 15 minutes to get out of the station alone.
We went to the Batu Caves area and there are also a lot of people everywhere, the sun is also shinning bright and the heat is hurting our skin. We took couple of pictures but its really hard to stay and climb the stairs.
The new look of Batu Caves is fascinating, it gives more life to the place. The rainbow color makes it more magical, The doves are still there but its hard to take a photo of them since there are a lot of people. These new look attract a lot of visitors and on my own opinion the place is not as serene as before.
